Mason Jar Centerpieces

Mason jars are popular these days because of their versatility, fun look and cheap price. In fact, if you're like me, your mother or grandmother may have basement shelves filled with them. So why not put them to use helping to decorate for your wedding? You'll do your pocket book a favor, not to mention your grandmother, by finally emptying those shelves.

It's not too early to start planning for that Christmas wedding. Simple but beautiful centerpieces can be created by getting sprigs of greenery and placing them in a Mason jar. Next, sprinkle in a handful of fresh cranberries. Fill the jar with water, then add a floating candle. Most votives will float if they're not too tall. Place on a bed of greens and add some red Christmas ornaments and/or pine cones. Use three of them for larger tables. You can add ribbon or jute around the top of the jar. Just make sure it's not too close to the flame when the candle is lit.

This is just one idea, but there are hundreds of them on Pinterest. Browse to find the one that suits your style and taste.
